Day 1: Arrival in Tunis

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Tunis. Enjoy a walk through the vibrant streets of the capital and explore the iconic Avenue Bourguiba, a striking blend of Arab-French architecture, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, and Neo-Classical styles. The theater, designed by Resplandy, is a prime example of Art Nouveau architecture. Stroll along this beautiful avenue and soak in the lively atmosphere with the welcoming crowds of Tunisians. Dinner and overnight in Tunis.

Day 2: Tunis - Ichkeul National Park - Tunis (160 Km)

After breakfast, we will visit Ichkeul National Park, a large natural lagoon fed by six wadis. It's one of the most important wintering sites for waterfowl in the Western Palearctic region. Ichkeul Lake is unique, with freshwater in winter and saltwater in summer, which supports a variety of plants like bulrush and Potamogeton. This unique ecosystem attracts numerous waterfowl during their migratory journey from Europe to North Africa, making Ichkeul one of the most renowned wintering sites in the Mediterranean. Mammals in the park include buffaloes, foxes, genets, otters, bats, and golden jackals. Return to Tunis for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Tunis - Cap Bon Wetlands - Tunis (240 Km)

Today, we'll explore the wetlands of Cap Bon, the only coastal point between Tangier, Gibraltar, and Egypt where birds cross the Mediterranean to reach Europe. Here, you'll find a wide variety of bird species, including raptors, hawks, buzzards, and shorebirds like the gray shrike, little owl, stone curlew, shelduck, and many others. The coastal areas are home to gannets, gulls, and puffins, while the peninsula itself hosts several lakes and coastal lagoons, such as Korba, a favorite spot for ducks and waders. The Haouaria caves are also a popular roosting place for bats. Return to Tunis for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Tunis - Zaghouan National Park - Tunis (120 Km)

After breakfast, we'll head to Zaghouan National Park, renowned for its stunning mountain landscapes and the historic Temple of Waters. Explore the park's slopes, crevices, cliffs, and chasms, where you might spot golden eagles, short-toed snake eagles, and a variety of medicinal and aromatic plants like thyme and rosemary. The panoramic views over the plains are breathtaking. The park includes a museum and a visitor center, with the Temple of Waters as a notable attraction. Return to Tunis for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Departure
