DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT TRIPOLI AIRPORT

DAY 2: MORNING VISIT TO TRIPOLI - AFTERNOON FLIGHT TO BENGHAZI (1-hour flight)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to explore the Libyan capital, including a visit to the fish market and the rich archaeological museum with exceptional mosaics, sculptures from Leptis Magna, and bas-reliefs from the Arch of Septimius Severus.
Lunch in the Medina.
In the afternoon, visit the Arch of Marcus Aurelius, the Medina with its ancient mosques, the Clock Tower, the Green Square, 1st September Street, the Italian Quarter with Algeria Square, and the New Mosque.
Evening flight from Tripoli to Benghazi.
Airport transfer, dinner, and overnight stay.

DAY 3: BENGHAZI, TOUKRA, PTOLEMAIS, GSAR LIBYA, AND AL-BAYDA (240 km)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Benghazi.
In Cyrenaica, colonized in the 7th century BC by the Greeks, continue to Ptolemais.
Lunch.
Afternoon visit to the archaeological site, featuring the largest cisterns in Africa and Roman villas whose exquisite mosaics are preserved in the museum.
Continue to Apollonia.
Check-in at Hotel El Manara.
Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: VISIT TO CYRENA AND APOLLONIA (60 km)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Depart for a scenic walk in the lush "African Greece," following in the footsteps of Apollo, the nymph Cyrene, and King Battos who came from Santorini to found the colony. Explore the colossal Temple of Zeus, the palace, the Street of King Battos with its colonnades, the Agora with the Tholos of Demeter, and the Monument to the Naval Victory. A small path through the flowering scrubland leads to the Sanctuary of Apollo.
Lunch during the visit.
The day ends in Apollonia, where Byzantine ruins tower over the cipollino columns of the churches overlooking the sea.

DAY 5: APOLLONIA-BENGHAZI (270 km) FLIGHT FROM BENGHAZI TO TRIPOLI (1-hour flight)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure towards Benghazi, crossing the lush green landscapes of El Jebel Al Akhdar.
Stop along the way to visit the Qasr Libya Museum, then continue to Benghazi.
Lunch en route, then flight from Benghazi to Tripoli.
Dinner and overnight stay in Tripoli.

DAY 6: MORNING FLIGHT TRIPOLI/SEBHA (1-hour flight), THEN CONTINUE TO MORZUQ AND MATHENDOUSH (250 km)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning flight from Tripoli to Sebha.
Meet the drivers and cooks, then transfer to 4x4 vehicles. Departure for Murzuq, a small town in the desert, with a visit to the local market.
Lunch, then begin the Saharan journey along the track to Idhan Murzuq, a true ocean of dunes.
Continue by 4x4 to Mathendoush via Morzuq.
First night at the campsite with dinner prepared on-site.

DAYS 7-8: MATHENDOUSH/AKAKUS (300 km)

Breakfast at the campsite.
Depart at 8:00 a.m. towards Akakus.
Lunch.
Explore the Akakus Mountains, which span north of the Algerian border, covering about 100 km. The area has a rich collection of prehistoric rock art.
In the evening, gather around the drivers' campfire, experiencing the desert's serene silence under the stars.
Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

DAY 9: AKAKUS - UBARI ERG (200 km)

Breakfast at the campsite.
Continue exploring rock paintings through the mountain ranges.
Lunch en route.
Pass through the town of Al Awaynat, then head east. Visit the lush Wadi Al Hayah ("Valley of Life"), stopping in Garama to visit the ancient city of the Garamantes (1000 BC to 700 AD).
Camping and dinner at Tekerkiba at the foot of the Erg Ubari.

DAY 10: UBARI ERG - SEBHA (120 km) / EVENING FLIGHT SEBHA - TRIPOLI (1-hour flight)

Breakfast at the campsite.
Depart at 8:00 a.m. Discover the beauty of the desert, visiting the lakes of Mandara, Oum El Ma, and Mafu. Lunch in Gabraoun with a chance to swim in the salt lake.
Return to Sebha via the road, approximately 180 km.
Dinner in Sebha, then evening flight to Tripoli.
Overnight stay in Tripoli.

DAY 11: VISIT TO LEPTIS MAGNA, THEN RETURN TO TRIPOLI (250 km)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Depart at 8:00 a.m. for a full-day visit to Leptis Magna, known as the "African Rome," showcasing incredible Roman architecture like the Arch of Septimius Severus, the Baths of Hadrian, the Forum, and the ancient Amphitheater.
Lunch during the visit.
Return to Tripoli around 4:00 p.m.
Special dinner at a typical local restaurant.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 12: VISIT TO SABRATHA, THEN RETURN TO TRIPOLI (150 km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the archaeological museum in Tripoli, then the Medina. Lunch, then depart for Sabratha, a former Carthaginian outpost that became a Roman city after the Third Punic War. Visit its remarkable sites, especially the theater with its pavonazzo columns and sculpted pulpitum. Return to Tripoli for an overnight stay.

DAY 13: TRIPOLI

Breakfast at the hotel.
Free time for lunch.
Farewell dinner at an excellent restaurant.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 14: DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure at 8:00 a.m., with transfer to the airport.
