DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT TRIPOLI AIRPORT

DAY 2: MORNING DEPARTURE TO GHADAMES THROUGH NALUT (600 km)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Depart towards Ghadames via Nalut. This scenic drive offers varied landscapes, with a stop at Qasr El Haj, a small village with collective granaries. In the ghost town of Nalut, visit the fortified collective granaries.
Lunch. Continue through the coastal plains, gradually entering a desert region with herds of camels. Arrive in Ghadames in the late afternoon. Check-in at DAR GHADAMES hotel.
Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: GHADAMES AND SURROUNDINGS (30 km)

Breakfast at the hotel.
A day dedicated to visiting Ghadames, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its labyrinthine streets winding beneath mud-brick houses. Ghadames was historically a key point for caravan routes and has a unique charm and hospitality.
Traditional lunch in a Ghadames-style house.
In the afternoon, head into the dunes in 4x4s to enjoy the sunset while sipping green tea.
Return to the DAR GHADAMES hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: GHADAMES - SCHWIREF - SEBHA (850 km)

Breakfast at the hotel.
A long journey through the Sahara to reach Sebha, the capital of the desert. The trip covers over 800 km, with stops at villages for lunch and tea breaks.
Arrival in Sebha in the evening.
Check-in at the hotel.
Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 5: SEBHA - IDHEN MORZUQ - MATHENDUSH (250 km)

After breakfast, meet the drivers and cooks for the 4x4 journey.
Depart for Murzuq, a small town in the middle of the desert. Visit the local market.
Lunch, then start the Saharan journey via the track to Idhan Murzuq, a vast ocean of dunes.
Continue by 4x4 to Mathendoush.
First night at the campsite with lunch and dinner prepared on-site.

DAYS 6 & 7: MATHENDOUSH - AKAKUS (300 km)

Breakfast at the campsite.
Depart at 8:00 a.m. towards Akakus.
Lunch.
Explore the Akakus Mountains, extending north from the Algerian border, renowned for their prehistoric rock art. In the evening, gather around the campfire to enjoy the desert silence and starry skies.
Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

DAY 8: AKAKUS - GARAMA - TEKERKIBA - ERG UBARI (410 km)

Breakfast at the campsite.
Continue visiting the rock paintings across the mountain ranges.
Lunch, then head through the town of Al Awaynat to the main road towards the East.
Pass through the lush Wadi Al Hayah (Valley of Life), stopping at Garama to visit the ancient city of the Garamantes.
Camp and dinner at Tekerkiba at the foot of the Erg Ubari.

DAY 9: ERG UBARI - THE LAKES - SEBHA (200 km) - EVENING FLIGHT SEBHA - TRIPOLI (1-hour flight)

Breakfast at the campsite.
Depart at 8:00 a.m. to explore the desert lakes of Mandara, Oum El Ma, and Mafu.
Lunch at Gabraoun, with the possibility to swim in the salt lake.
In the afternoon, return to Sebha through the dunes, then by road (approximately 180 km).
Dinner in Sebha, then take the evening flight to Tripoli.
Overnight stay in Tripoli.

DAY 10: TRIPOLI - LEPTIS MAGNA - TRIPOLI (250 km)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Depart at 8:00 a.m. for a full-day visit to Leptis Magna, the grand "African Rome" of Emperor Septimius Severus. Explore the magnificent triumphal arch, Hadrian's Baths, the Forum, the Market, the Theater, the ancient Port, and the Circus.
Lunch during the visit.
Return to Tripoli around 5:00 p.m.
Special dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 11: TRIPOLI - SABRATHA - TRIPOLI (150 km)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit the archaeological museum in Tripoli, then the Medina.
Lunch, then head to Sabratha. This site, once a simple Phoenician stopover, became a Carthaginian trading post and eventually a Roman city. Explore the lavish villas, public and private baths, and the magnificent theater with its pavonazzo columns and pulpitum adorned with intricate bas-reliefs.
Return to Tripoli for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 12: TRIPOLI

Breakfast at the hotel.
Explore the Libyan capital, including the fish market, the archaeological museum, and the historical sites such as the Arch of Marcus Aurelius, ancient mosques, the Clock Tower, the Green Square, and the Italian Quarter with Algeria Square.
Lunch in the Medina.
Dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 13: DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport with assistance for departure.
