Day 1: Arrival in Tunis

Upon arrival in Tunis, you'll be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
Spend the afternoon exploring the city's main thoroughfare and the surrounding streets, showcasing a variety of architectural styles, including the grand theater, the French embassy, and the cathedral.
Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation at your hotel.

Day 2: Tunis - Kairouan - Sbeïtla - Gafsa (375 km)

After breakfast, depart at 8:00 am for Kairouan, a center of spiritual significance.
Visit the Great Mosque of Oqba and the Barber's Mausoleum. Kairouan is also renowned for its exquisite carpets and delicious pastries, such as makroud.
After lunch, continue to the Roman archaeological site of Sbeïtla, where you'll explore its impressive Capitol, thermal baths, and Byzantine churches. Dinner and overnight in Gafsa.

Day 3: Gafsa - Tozeur - The Mountain Oases - Tozeur (150 km)

Start the day with a drive to Tozeur, passing through the phosphate mining area of Metlaoui. Explore Tozeur's charming medina, known for its honey-colored brick architecture. Visit the Garden of Paradise and the Sahara Zoo, where you can see native desert wildlife. After lunch, take a 4WD adventure to Chebika, known for its stunning waterfall and narrow gorges. Return to Tozeur for dinner and an evening visit to the Dar Chraiet Museum. Overnight in Tozeur.
After breakfast, departure at 8:00 to Tozeur through the area of Metlaoui famous for its phosphate mines.

Walk in the garden of paradise and visit the Zoo of the Sahara where you will see the main species of the desert: jackals, fennecs, scorpions, vipers with corms, etc.
Visit of the brick factory. Lunch at 01.00 pm at the hotel then departure in 4WD for Chebika through waterfall then engage in a narrow gorge whose walls contain many fossils. Midès where scenes of Fort Sagane were shot, is perched on the edge of a vertiginous canyon. In this oasis are cultivated orange trees, lemon trees, mandarin trees.
Return to Tozeur; dinner at the hotel then visit the Dar Chraiet museum.

Day 4: Tozeur - Chott El Jerid - Douz (130 km)

Begin the day with a crossing of Chott El Jerid, a vast salt flat with unique pink-hued pools.
Visit the water coolers of Kebili's palm grove and the petrified dunes.
In Douz, take a 4WD tour of the golden sand dunes, followed by a special dinner in the desert with Berber flute music.
Overnight in Douz.

Day 5: Douz - Matmata - Tataouine (250 km)

After breakfast, explore Douz's market, known for its dates. Visit the Berber village of Tamezret and a local Berber museum. Continue to Matmata, famous for its troglodytic homes, and enjoy lunch in a traditional family restaurant. The journey continues to Tataouine, where you'll visit the Ksours and learn about the area's history. Dinner and overnight in Tataouine.

Day 6: Tataouine - Libyan Border - Ghadames (500 km)

Depart early to cross the Tunisian-Libyan border, heading toward Ghadames. Enjoy a scenic drive and have lunch along the way. Arrive in Ghadames, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its unique architecture and stunning palm grove. Dinner and overnight in Ghadames.

Day 7: Ghadames Exploration

Spend the day exploring Ghadames, renowned for its vaulted streets and traditional homes. Visit a local museum and a babouche workshop. In the evening, head to the desert to capture the sunset over the dunes. Enjoy a traditional dinner and overnight in Ghadames.

Day 8: Ghadames - Al Shwaref - Sebha (855 km)

This is a long day of travel through the Sahara to reach Sebha, the desert capital. Along the way, stop for lunch and tea in local villages. After arriving in Sebha, enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation at your hotel.

Day 9: Sebha - Murzuq - Idhan Murzuq (180 km)

Meet your 4WD drivers and cooks for the next leg of the journey. Head to Murzuq, a town in the heart of the desert, where you can explore its market. After lunch, begin the journey through the Sahara toward Idhan Murzuq, a vast sea of dunes. Settle into your camp, enjoy dinner, and marvel at the starry desert night sky.

Day 10: Idhan Murzuq - Mathendous - Tekerkiba (180 km)

Day 11: Tekerkiba - Ghat - Akakus (400 km)

Today, visit Ghat, the capital of the Tuareg people. After exploring the city and having lunch, continue to Akakus, a mountain range famous for its prehistoric rock art. The evening is spent at camp, enjoying a traditional desert dinner under the stars.

Day 12: Akakus - Garama - Tekerkiba - Ubari Erg (410 km)

After breakfast, continue exploring the rock paintings in the Akakus mountains. Visit Garama, an ancient city of the Garmantes people, and then head to Tekerkiba, located at the base of the Ubari Erg. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 13: Erg of Ubari - Lakes - Sebha - Flight to Tripoli (200 km)

Discover the beautiful desert lakes of Mandara, Oum El Ma, and Mafu. After lunch and a swim in Gabraoun, head back to Sebha for your flight to Tripoli. Dinner and overnight in Tripoli.

Day 14: Tripoli - Leptis Magna - Tripoli (250 km)

Today is dedicated to exploring Leptis Magna, the ancient Roman city and birthplace of Emperor Septimius Severus. Visit the Triumph Arch, Hadrian's Baths, the forum, and other significant sites. Return to Tripoli for a special dinner at a typical restaurant. Overnight in Tripoli.

Day 15: Tripoli - Sabratha - Tripoli - Flight to Tunis (150 km)

Visit Tripoli's archaeological museum and the Medina. After lunch, head to Sabratha, an ancient Phoenician stopover that became a Roman city. Explore its grand theater and other historical landmarks. Return to Tripoli for your flight to Tunis. Transfer to your hotel, dinner, and overnight accommodation.

Day 16: Tunis - Bardo Museum - Carthage - Sidi Bou Saïd (60 km)

Spend the morning exploring Tunis's Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Bardo Museum, home to an exceptional collection of Roman mosaics.
